Some Bible distributors in going round their district once gave a Bible to a poor woman. A long time after, in going round again, they met her, and asked her what she thought of the Bible. “Think of it?” she said, “Why, I wouldn’t part with it for all this world can offer. Since I have had this Bible I have passed through many great trials. And in those trials my Bible has given me more comfort than all the riches in the world can give. I have found Jesus there. He has pardoned my sins, and given me the hope of going to heaven, and there’s no comfort like that.”
